Maybe...

We had a bit of good news today. We have received another offer on our condo. I wish that I was more excited about this new development, but the offer was low. Although we are pretty desperate to sell our place, we aren't desperate enough to take an offer that's ridiculously low. This offer is close to that. However, we did make a counter offer and it could turn out well. Additionally, we have had a lot of traffic coming into the unit. The condo has been back on the market for about a week and I feel that if we decided to hold out for another offer we would have another one within a week. WS and I decided when we first listed our condo that we would not be greedy when it comes to the price that we will sell our condo for. That's one of the reasons that we listed it at what I consider to be a really good price. Being less than enthusiastic about the most current offer could be viewed as being greedy, but it's about getting the price that our place is worth.

So we should know by tomorrow what the potential buyers have decided to do about our counter-offer. I anticipate a counter-offer from them. Who knows what that will be? It would sure be great to be in a contract by the weekend! Then we would be just closing escrow in the first week of July. We are a little bit wary of entering into escrow again. We have already had our agent check into the potential buyer's job situation. Our previous buyers did not have a steady income. We have been reassured that this potential buyer has a steady income at a job in the health care industry that she has held for 25 years. We are very hopeful that things could progress positively, but we'll wait and see what happens.
